SPI Integration Engineer

Job summary:  The SPI role will involve working with Sales, Client Services and the client to launch a channel by sending instructions on how to place our tracking code on the client’s website, supporting the client in case of questions and test and troubleshoot the implementation.

Roles & responsibilities:  

On-Boarding:

  • On-boarding new clients quickly and efficiently – meet their requirements and set clear expectations
  • Establish and maintain regular and appropriate communication with the key contact(s) for the clients, internal or external
  • Create documentation and define best practice guidelines where needed
  • Perform delivery of client work as and when appropriate
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of Rakuten Marketing tracking solutions
  • Guide clients through our mobile app tracking implementation and setup to ensure that mobile app tracking activities can be tracked and recorded

Data Integrations:

  • Ensure that the client’s tracked data is accurate and also tracking accurately
  • Configure Cadence admin to ensure that channel tracking is accurate

Tag Manager Delivery:

  • Work with internal and external clients to deploy Rakuten Marketing tags via tag manager
  • Support the installation of our tags via tag management solutions used by clients, e.g. Google Tag Manager
  • Ensure that all tags are completed within Company Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure that all tags are quality assured as per company policy

Key requirements:  

Technical /functional expertise:

  • Knowledge digital marketing and basic concepts of affiliate, display and search marketing
  • HTML/JavaScript knowledge essential
  • Basic web development skills and cookie tracking
  • Basic knowledge in web analytics, tracking and reporting
  • Very strong MS Office suite skills. Intermediate Excel skills, (pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Experience in mobile app tracking and Software Development Kit (SDK) implementations
  • Google Tag Manager and other tag management system is desirable
