Summary Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Network Development, you will have ultimate responsibility for day-to-day management of your partner portfolio which entails driving revenue growth through new and optimized network partnerships and maintaining partner satisfaction with Rakuten Marketing. Through aggressive phone and email outreach, you will work closely with the partners in your portfolio to maximize Rakuten Marketing revenue driven through your available online channels.    


  • Develop and execute effective partnership sales strategies and tactics.
  • Utilize effective phone/email outreach, sales and negotiation skills to create new and optimize existing partnerships within the Network.
  • Develop, maintain, and extend relationships with portfolio of online partners.
  • Identify and acquire new partners for the Network.
  • Manage to 100%+ of sales and revenue goals.
  • Know and understand the full capabilities of the Rakuten Marketing SynergyTM software and educate partners to use the tools available to them through the software.
  • Stay on top of Rakuten Marketing’s competitive landscape and work to maintain Rakuten Marketing’s top rated position.
  • Achieve the highest levels of partner satisfaction. Retain 100% of partners in portfolio.    

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ partner management experience.
  • Strong interest and understanding of the online marketing space.
  • A proven track record of success in a consultative selling environment.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis of marketing and sales results, including recommendations for strategic and/or tactical changes.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations.
  • Planning and project management skills - setting and meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Prioritizing and strategizing based on individual and corporate goals.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to think creatively and use professional judgment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
