AHAVA’s mission is to deliver the virtues of the Dead Sea by harnessing its most extraordinary ingredients and creating innovative and effective products for consumers worldwide. AHAVA is proud to provide products that are: paraben-free, SLS/SLES free, approved for sensitive skin, allergy tested, not tested on animals, and produced without petroleum, harsh synthetic ingredients or GMOs.

AHAVA started an affiliate program to cost-effectively acquire new customers, increasing overall revenue growth for ahavaus.com. “Affiliate marketing is a top marketing channel and in our opinion, a requirement for any ecommerce program. The tools AHAVA used to implement a successful program include:

  • Tiered commission to give affiliates motivation to push the AHAVA brand further in their channels
  • Private offers to receive enhanced placements and exposure through commission increases and exclusive coupon codes
  • Affiliate newsletters to easily and quickly notify affiliates of new promotions and text links available for AHAVA
  • Deep-linking to reduce the amount of bandwidth needed internally to provide affiliate link

During the process of setting up a successful affiliate program, AHAVA learned tiered commission is a helpful tactic and on the other hand learned that revenue thresholds are not the best tactic for their program.

SUCCESS
Since dedicating internal resources to the RAN program in 2013, AHAVA has seen:

  • triple digital revenue growth each successive year
  • a substantial increase in publisher participation (756 publishers in December 2012 to 2,587 publishers today)
  • a 58% increase in orders YoY
  • their affiliate marketing channel grow from 3% of the total revenue to currently 25%

FUTURE PLANS
AHAVA is working on implementing commission tiers based off of driving new customers, giving bigger commissions to those affiliates driving new customers to their website. In addition, AHAVA plans to continue outreach to affiliates with private offers and exclusive coupons.
